Art & Fear Publication

​

In this project, I designed a 16-page publication utilizing type from Chapter 2 of Art & Fear by David Bayles and Ted Orland. I created graphics, diagrams, and the publication cover in Photoshop, and designed the publication in InDesign.

Impermanence

​

For this piece, I created a brochure highlighting selected quotes about impermanence from The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche.

​

This brochure utilizes a Z-fold design, with the first slide displaying the outside spread, and the second slide (featuring the quotes) displaying the inside panels.

Boulder Walks

​

For this piece, I was tasked with creating a map system based on a familiar place to me. I chose to make a map of my hometown consisting of my favorite walking paths. 

​

I appreciate that this map could be utilized by a user in the real world, but also incorporates a piece of me and my sentimental attachment to my hometown, within it.

Sabon Spread & Poster

​

For this piece, I created a spread with information about the typeface "Sabon", with diagrams to depict my descriptions of the formal elements of the font. 

​

In addition, I made a poster to pair with the spread, incorporating some of the information as well as the diagrams in a suitable composition for poster format.

Art Fair Flier

​

For this piece, I designed a flier with information about an upcoming art fair hosted by a feminist magazine organization on campus. In creating this, I mostly focused on typographic hierarchy in order to communicate the most important information accordingly. 

​

This flier was both printed as a poster, and shared digitally to advertise the art fair.
